Questions to Ponder

This week I want to lovingly challenge you to find the edge of your window of tolerance. As in, the goal for this group is not to be comfortable, but to grow. You can find the edge of your comfort zone through what you share and by how you show up

Here’s some questions to think through

Perceived threats

  • How have I perceived threats in the group so far?
    • Internal (what would the group think if I said____?)
    • External (being triggered by someone, making interpretations of someone’s face, etc)
  • Have I regulated around these perceived threats? Or have I avoided them?
  • If I have avoided them, how can I relax into them this week?

Here’s the amazing thing: when we allow perceived threats to go unchecked, they increase in power. But when we regulate through them and move into the situation we are scared of with lowered energy, we desensitize both the trigger and the painful past learning around it.

How we show up

  • How can I bring my best self?
  • What is my body language saying as people share? Especially when they are done with their share?
  • How would I act if I were the only one across the screen?
